A study examining the effect of pembrolizumab and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) in treating breast cancer patients with brain metastases
N/A
Trial Summary
This study will assess the influence of Accelerated Radiation Therapy (ART) on the breast and nodal stations after breast cancer patients have received a series of treatments and surgery. ART refers to a radiation treatment protocol that delivers higher doses of radiation in a shorter period of time compared to traditional radiation therapy. The study will involve breast cancer patients with varying sizes of tumors. The study design divides participants into two groups to receive ART either on the breast or chest wall, or on the breast, chest wall, and lymph nodes.

Trial Design
40 patients with metastatic breast cancer with at least 2 brain metastases will complete radiation therapy within 1 week and Pembrolizumab. Patients may continue treatment every 3 weeks until evidence of brain progression. Patients will be followed up until death.
Inclusion Criteria
1. 18 to 90 years
2. Are female
3. Have metastatic breast cancer
Exclusion Criteria
1. Are pregnant or breast feeding
2. Received complete resection of all brain metastases
